A POS That Keeps Selling When the Internet Drops

Full order entry, cart and receipts running on the device itself when the connection fails, syncing automatically the moment it returns. Included on every tier.

Availability: Included on every tier — never sold as an upgrade.

The question to ask any cloud POS vendor

What happens at 8pm on a Thursday when the connection drops? Many cloud systems simply stop — the screen spins, the queue walks out, and the evening is gone. It's worth asking before you sign, not after.

One lost evening costs more than a year of software

Add up a busy Thursday's takings and compare it to twelve months of subscription. The reputational cost of turning customers away is harder to price and usually larger.

How ours works

  1. The connection drops — staff keep taking orders as normal
  2. Orders, the cart and totals are held in local storage on the device
  3. Receipts still print, in a simplified emergency format
  4. A PIN-protected emergency terminal covers the case where the main screen can't load at all
  5. When the connection returns, pending orders sync automatically — and every 60 seconds after
  6. The active cart survives a page reload or a brief disconnection without losing a line

Partial implementations that cache the menu but can't complete a transaction are not the same thing. The test is whether a sale can be rung, paid and receipted with the router unplugged — ours can.

Common questions

Do I lose any orders when the connection comes back?

No. Orders taken offline are stored on the device and pushed up when connectivity returns, then again on a 60-second cycle. Nothing needs re-keying and the sales history ends up identical to if you'd been online the whole time.

Is offline mode an extra cost?

No. It's on every tier including the cheapest. A till that stops working during a rush isn't really a POS, so charging extra for it would be charging extra for the thing working.

What about card payments while offline?

Card terminals talk to the bank directly, so that depends on your payment provider rather than on us. What we guarantee is that the order, the cart, the receipt and your records keep working — so you can take cash without losing the sale or the audit trail.
